I use this page to collect different things related to cats, i mean household cats that are suitable for family pets. Even though i do not currently have a pet cat, i still like them and i always treat them nice whenever i encounter one. Cats bring a lot of pleasure to many people in fact, i think Mark Twain the famous writer kept cats because they were so calming to him. At one time i owned a very large "Cat Cage" it was made from light weight square tubular steel and was 8ftx8ftx8ft high. It had shelves on the inside with strips of carpet for the cat or cats to lay on. It was what is called a "Walk-in Cage". It had a steel frame door with a simple little lock. It was well designed and so cool, unfortunately i had to sell it because i had no use for it. I sold it quickly for $100.00 cash and it was transported on the buyers small pickup truck to his property. The cage was mostly made using 5/8in steel square tube and attached to the frame was a fencing fabric called i think: "Standard Welded Wire Mesh Fabric for Fencing". That might be a good business for someone to start - making large walk-in cat cages.
ABOUT ANIMALS AND PETS I really do love animals. Dogs and Cats do really make great pets. We agree with those people who say animals should be treated with kindness and care. I don't like it when people acquire these exotic pets like some kind of snake that should be left in their natural environment. I have seen young people bring boa type snakes hung around their necks into a local supermarket. I don't like snakes - but i felt sorry for this snake hanging around this kids neck. No country in the world should allow people to bother and remove from their natural habitat any snake or other animal for a "Pet". I wished people would leave the animals alone. Now you have a big mess in the state of Florida with all the large snakes living in the everglades, not even their natural environment. These snakes provide no benefit to the everglades. Just another large animal making the everglades even more dangerous for visitors to the area. The organizations that promote spay and neuter for pets are performing a good service for the animal kingdom. There are too many animals used as pets owned by people who cannot afford to care for them properly because they cannot afford to spend the money on them that is required, like vet fees. Programs advocating the reduction of pet type animals everywhere is a reduction in suffering for the animals in general.
